Every year Life with Cancer provides hundreds of free classes, support groups, and special events to help people navigate the mental and emotional aspects of their cancer journey. Their previous registration system was outdated and created unnecessary friction for users during an already challenging time.
Navigating the system itself was difficult. It didn't work well on phones or tablets, and even on large screens the interface was difficult to use. Many of the users of this system are going through cancer treatment, meaning, from a user experience perspective, they're already feeling physically unwell. They may also be dealing with degenerating eye sight, limited mobility, neuropathy, arthritis, shakes, and in some cases, seizures. Life with Cancer needed a solution that would make their unique care, support, and resources truly accessible to everyone who needed them.
We collaborated with Life with Cancer to create a comprehensive class registration system that brings all their programming together in one intuitive, accessible platform. The new system functions like an app but is accessible to any user on any device through a browser. A calendar interface works seamlessly across devices, while meeting accessibility standards for users with disabilities. The unified event ecosystem integrates hundreds of support services, classes, and events into a searchable database with easy to use and intuitive filtering capabilities.
