Case Study
Spark Point Fundraising is a full-service development firm founded by Whitney Brimfield with a clear mission: take the fear out of fundraising for nonprofits, and help purpose-driven organizations build the sustainable funding relationships they need to create lasting impact. With deep expertise in grant writing, fundraising strategy, and donor cultivation - and an explicit commitment to equity and justice - Spark Point serves organizations across the country that are doing work that matters.
When Spark Point came to Yoko Co, they were operating on Squarespace, which had served them for early-stage simplicity but was increasingly limiting as the firm grew. The decision to migrate to WordPress was made in part because of the ability for the platform to grow and be customized to better conform to their long term needs, and the ability to leverage better tools to support search engine optimization (SEO), and more recently answer engine optimization (AEO). Speak Point needed more design flexibility, richer content architecture, and a platform capable of supporting long-term expansion without requiring heavy technical overhead. Yoko Co built out a custom WordPress site, and imported the Squarespace content, giving the Spark Point team genuine ownership over their content while reflecting the firm's bold, mission-driven brand identity.
The site was structured to serve multiple audience types - nonprofits actively seeking fundraising and grant writing support, organizations looking for a speaker or thought leadership content, and prospective partners exploring the firm's capabilities. Navigation was organized around that audience architecture, with dedicated sections for Services, Results, Clients, and Insights. Integrations included Mailchimp for email list growth, a booking integration via Calendly for consultation scheduling, and Google Tag Manager for analytics and conversion tracking.
The site continues to serve as Spark Point's primary digital presence, showcasing a track record that has grown to include 100+ clients, 300+ funders, and $86+ million raised.
